Sport Hampshire IOW

Sport Hampshire & IOW is the County Sports Partnership covering Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. It covers one of the largest county populations, approximately 1.2 million people, within the UK. This partnership comprises of agencies committed to providing a high quality single system for people to benefit from sport.

Sport Hampshire & IOW are the lead authority for the Local Public Service Agreement target (2005 – 2009) which aims to increase the number of adults (aged 16+) adopting a healthy lifestyle by completing at least 30 minutes moderate intensity physical activity at least 5 times per week. East Hampshire District Council is signed up to help achieve this target.

The local development of Community Sports Networks is being championed by Sport Hampshire & IOW.
