SMALL GRANTS AVAILABLE FOR
COMMUNITY PROJECTS
Organisations that are searching for funding for a local community project are invited to book places for a FREE workshop session featuring two different grant streams on offer to community and voluntary groups.
The session will be held in the evening of Wednesday 11th June at The Forest Community Centre in Bordon. It will include presentations and interactive discussion about “The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation” and The Big Lottery’s “Awards for All” grant scheme.
The workshop is being organised by Community First East Hampshire. Part of Community First’s role is to offer a funding information and support service to voluntary and community groups in East Hampshire. Groups will be able to find out more about this service during the workshop session.
Claire Coxwell, Community First’s Development Manager said,” Information about funding is the issue we get asked about most. This is an ideal opportunity for sports clubs, village halls and other voluntary organisations to come along and find out whether their project is eligible for a grant.”
Although places are free it is essential to book in advance. Further details from Community First on 01730 710017 or e-mail training@communityfirst-easthampshire.org.uk. You can also book online at www.communityfirst-easthampshire.org.uk
