Free sessions of RAPP and GetActiv8d this half term

This half term the Rural Areas Play Project (RAPP) will be heading out into the district to provide bored children with a host of fun-filled games and activities.

And this time - to celebrate National Family Week - two of the four days will be completely free.

RAPP, which provides toys and runs art and craft sessions for youngsters, normally charges £3 a session for children five and over.

Every day of the half term, Tuesday 1 June to Friday 4 June, RAPP will visit a different part of the district. The Get Activ8d scheme, aimed at 8-16-year-olds will also provide sports and exciting activities during the week.

To celebrate National Family Week Hampshire County Council's Extended Services have agreed to fund the service on Tuesday 1 June and on Thursday 3 June, making it free for children.

Lisa Clements, RAPP Co-ordinator, said: "The RAPP and Get Activ8d schemes are a fantastic chance for local children to come and have some fun during the half-term holiday. And as this is coincides with National Family Week we can offer two of the four days free of charge. Get on to www.getactivenow.co.uk and book you places now."

National Family Week is a special celebration encouraging families to spend more quality time together and sees thousands of events run throughout the UK.
